Canterbury Earthquake - Minister's Announcement on Change 1 to the Canterbury Regional Policy Statement
Oct 2011On 14 October the Honourable Gerry Brownlee, Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery, announced that he was invoking the powers under section 27(1)(a) of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Act 2011 to include a new Chapter 12A in the Canterbury Regional Policy Statement and revoking the previous Change 1 (currently before the Courts). This change will take effect from Monday 17 October.

Abolition of Gift Duty
